Photo: trekearth.comThe UBC Thunderbirds women's volleyball team has just won their sixth straight CIS national title.  They defeated the Alberta Pandas in straight sets 3-0 (25-13, 25-23, 25-18).  This win ties the record for most consecutive CIS women's volleyball championships held by Winnipeg from 1983-1988.  This record was also tied by Alberta from 1995-2000.  This match marks the third time this season the T-Birds have defeated the Pandas.   UBC took both matches of their double header back in Canada West regular season play back in November.  To check out the tournament bracket, or view any of the men's CIS action this weekend, head over to our 2013 CIS Volleyball Championship homepage
