ANNOUNCEMENT: Challenger Plage Celtique

Volleyball Source is proud to partner with le Club de Volleyball Celtique to bring Canada’s best beach volleyball players to Montreal, June 21-23 to compete for the first Plage Celtique Challenger. Our goal is to provide opportunities for Canada’s best beach volleyball players to play professional matches on home soil, and to make sure it’s as comfortable as heading to  experience playing in an elite and professional setting.

Using a 16-team, Double Elimination tournament format: 12 teams will be selected directly to the Main Draw, while 4 spots will remain for the fortunate few who can survive the Qualification Round. Once the qualifiers have been decided we will kick off Round 1 Friday June 21st at 5:00 p.m. ET as 16-teams battle for the $10,000 purse and $2,500 first-prize.

The event will feature four (4) competition courts - one (1) centre court featuring a commentator, DJ, stands & other seating; as well as three (3) side courts - all easily accessible and visible for the public. All courts will be lit allowing us to feature matches during prime time - taking full advantage of the longest day of the year and the St-Jean long-weekend in Quebec.

There will be a strong emphasis on media throughout the entire event, and we promise an unprecedented level of coverage. Our live stream production will feature full-commentary throughout the entirety of the tournament - and we are proud to offer streams in both English and French to ensure everyone can follow along! In addition, all four (4) courts will be able to be viewed individually via single-camera streams from the baseline. The simple streams will feature a scoreboard without commentary.

WHETHER YOU’RE PLAYING OR PARTYING - THE PLAGE CELTIQUE CHALLENGER WILL MAKE YOUR LONG WEEKEND.
